Client or investor update
John is useful as a first drafter for client or investor updates. The send is yours until you approve.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”- Sources connected (mail, CRM, project tracker, or files in the thread)
- Slack is the easiest channel for approvals before send
- Persona that matches how you talk to that audience (Settings)
Example ask
Section titled “Example ask”Draft a Friday update for the Acme client: what shipped, what is blocked, and what we need from them. Use this thread and the CRM. Tone: plain and specific. Wait for my OK before sending.
What John can read
Section titled “What John can read”The apps and thread you named. He will not invent metrics. If a number is missing, he should say so.
What needs approval
Section titled “What needs approval”Sending email or posting to a customer channel. Saving a draft in your mailbox may also count as a write depending on the connection.
Expected output
Section titled “Expected output”A message you can edit, then approve.
